Police have no description of the suspect in what they describe as a targeted killing at Santa Monica's favorite watering hole.
One man stabbed two other men from Anaheim at The Bungalow restaurant Saturday morning. The incident began at 1:50 am outside the Fairmont Miramar Sheraton hotel. It's unclear whether the perpetrator was a homeless man, or a patron at the Bungalow bar.
The perpetrator stabbed two men. Medical personnel from the Santa Monica Fire Department transported both victims to a nearby hospital. One victim, a 31-year-old male from Anaheim, sustained critical injuries and succumbed to his injuries. The second victim is reported to have non-life-threatening injuries and is still in the hospital.
"Detectives currently perceive this as an isolated event rather than a random act of violence, and there is no evidence to suggest an ongoing threat to public safety.:
Police have not named a suspect. Investigators are reviewing available video surveillance and collecting witness statements to elucidate the circumstances leading up to the altercation.
