Sebastian Zapeta-Calil, 33, had been deported in 2018, but re-entered the country illegally during the Biden administration
Unbelievably graphic video has emerged of New York City incident where a Guatemalan illegal immigrant set fire to a sleeping woman on a subway train. NYC Police arrested the suspect, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, who had been deported in 2018 and entered the country illegally during the Biden administration.
Others stood by and filmed the graphic incident. Police were not prepared to help her. The woman just stood as she burned, probably not realizing her fate as her organs shut down one by one. The perpetrator himself watched.

"People are asking why she's still standing while on fire. That's not the point. The point is an illegal criminal burned a woman to death while people stood around and watched." tweeted Star Soldier.
"I completely agree. it is out of the ordinary but who cares, that is just a distraction from the real issues of why nobody stepped in to help her and 2.) this could have been prevented. Biden has her death on his hands with his weak border policies." tweeted Project Constitution.
Update 12/31/24: The subway rider who was burned to death on a Brooklyn F train in a horrific attack has been identified as a 61-year-old New Jersey woman, police announced Tuesday. From the New York Post:
"Debrina Kawam of Toms River was sleeping on the train at the Stillwell Avenue-Coney Island station 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 22 when she was set on fire — with illegal Guatemalan immigrant Sebastian Zapeta-Calil now facing first-degree murder charges in the sick attack.
The sources said Kawam had been living in Big Apple shelters since at least Sept. 9, and had been given a bed at the Franklin Williams Women’s Shelter in the Bronx on Nov. 30, but left on Dec. 2.
A source told The Post she was alive when she was set on fire, with a walker and several bags nearby.
The city medical examiner struggled to identify the body because it was so severely burned in the attack, sources previously said."
Needless to say, no one is riding the New York City subway today. Ridership has reportedly fallen off by 50%. The surface streets of Manhattan are reportedly gridlocked by cars and drivers, as no one wants to even enter the subways.
The fiery incident occurred just after the Daniel Penny trial, where an ex-Marine was tried for murder after he subdued an unruly homeless beggar who was threatening women and others on the train. The jury found him innocent, and he later attended the Army Navy game as a guest of President elect Trump.
"Sebastian Zapeta-Calil, 33, an undocumented immigrant from Guatemala, was arrested and charged with murder and arson for allegedly setting a woman on fire on a New York City subway.
The incident occurred on an F train at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue station in Brooklyn. Zapeta-Calil had previously been deported from the U.S. in 2018 but reentered the country at an unknown date and location. He was found with a lighter in his pocket at the time of his arrest. The woman, who had possibly been sleeping, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is still unknown."
