Gang of Robbers Rear End Senior Citizen, Steal Belongings From His Car in Santa Monica

The "bump and rob" tactic is known to be used in Latin America, but uncommon until recently in California.

11.22.24: Reports on social media say that a gang or group operating in Santa Monica, have rear ended at least one senior citizen, then robbed him when he got out of the car. This from the Citizen app:

"Santa Monica, California: This evening, my 80 year old father was assaulted and robbed on Franklin street in Santa Monica. The thieves rear ended him, then when he got out of the car they physically hit him and stole his belongings from the car. I am trying to see if anyone has relevant footage we can give to the police. The incident occurred around 7:30pm north of wilshire. We don't have much information on the car, but my father was driving a grey Toyota Camry. I'm not worried about his belongings, we just don't want this to happen to anyone else. Thanks in advance."

The "bump and rob" tactic is known to be used in Latin America, but uncommon until recently in California. This from http://www.legallyarmedindetroit.com: "Personal Protection Tip: Beware of the "Bump & Rob/Rape" Tactic whereby a predator will intentionally hit your your vehicle to stage a minor fender bender to get you to voluntarily exit your vehicle. If you are ever hit from behind, you need to quickly assess the environment and the specifics of the incident. If this incident doesn't feel right dial 9-1-1 and head to the nearest police station"

As Santa Monica continues to circle the drain...........every day, a new negative headline for the world to see.........and the voters vote, incredibly, to return the same SMRR devils to office. This town is DONE, stick the fork in it on Thanksgiving. It will continue to decay over the next few years until the blind voters truly understand what they have voted for.
