Left-Wing Criticism of Elon Musk's Alleged Ties to Russia and Putin Intensifies

"The West's wealthiest man is coordinating with the world's most evil dictator" reads leftist rag The Bulwark.

Rumors have circulated for two years about alleged phone conversations between Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Now, some critics suggest the connection may run even deeper.

“The West’s wealthiest man is coordinating with the world’s most malevolent dictator,” claims The Bulwark, a left-leaning publication. Once praised as a progressive icon for advancing electric vehicles, Musk is now being accused of supporting xenophobic and divisive ideologies, similar to those in former President Donald Trump’s political approach.

Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann called for Musk’s arrest by the administration of Vice President Kamala Harris and suggested his assets should be seized. Musk responded by highlighting the irony, noting that Olbermann’s statement was posted on a platform owned by Musk. “The fact that I allow someone who wants me imprisoned and my assets seized to speak freely on this platform shows my commitment to free speech,” he tweeted.

Musk has also emphasized his role in supporting Ukraine. “A major reason Ukraine has not been overrun by Russia is due to the Starlink support I provided at great risk to SpaceX, facing cyber and physical threats from the Russian military,” he explained. Starlink, Musk notes, is essential for Ukrainian military communication on the front lines, as other networks have been destroyed or jammed by Russian forces.

Ukraine’s leaders, including President Volodymyr Zelensky and Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, have expressed gratitude for Musk’s support, highlighting him as an ally.
