Between Friday, July 12 and Friday, Sept. 20, there were 14 separate robberies across 10 stores in LAPD areas.
Los Angeles, 10.6.24: Dramatic video from Oct. 5 shows another 7-Eleven being violently looted by a "flash mob." The lone staffer at this location tried desperately to shut the doors before he was threatened with a concrete slab by one of the masked rioters, tweeted Andy Ngo on Twitter.
Once inside, the mob attacked the clerk and looted the store. Over a dozen 7-Eleven stores have been targeted by "flash mob" robberies across Los Angeles in recent months. The 7/11's are apparently targeted because they have the snacks, candies and smokes the kids crave.
Between Friday, July 12 and Friday, Sept. 20, there were 14 separate robberies across 10 stores in LAPD’s Rampart, Hollywood, Wilshire and West L.A. divisions.

California basically legalized shoplifting and other misdemeanor crimes with Proposition 47 four years ago. The measure was written by George Gascon, who is running for re-election as LA County DA, and California Attorney General Kamala Harris, who of course is now running as the Democratic nominee for President.
