A small dog named Muffin had to be rescued by Santa Monica Fire just after two this afternoon after wandering off and falling approximately 10 feet down onto the bluffs above Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica.

The dog was not injured and was given to their owner. At the time of the incident, the dog was on a leash so it is unknown how the dog ended up falling over without the owner noticing that the dog had passed the fence.
