The Nasdaq Composite lost 3.1%, and the S&P 500 slid 2.7%. The blue-chip Dow earlier fell as much as 1,200 points.

In what may be the biggest story of 2024, Asian markets are falling, US futures are down. The Japanese stock market, the Nikkei 225 posted its largest 2 day drop in history. The drop is greater than black Monday crash of 1987.
