Veteran Gifting suite DPA dazzles at this year's Cannes Film Festival

Veteran gifting suite DPA made a mark on Cannes again this year with their infamous gifting events

Cannes, June 7, 2024--Sun, Stars and glamour. The French Riviera once again played host to the 77th Cannes Film Festival. As the film industry descended upon Cannes to celebrate the industry, so did the event producers and brands to showcase their products. Veteran gifting suite DPA made a mark again this year with their infamous gifting events. The ‘DPA Cannes Lounge’ was held at the JW Marriot Cannes from May 15th to May 24th, the exclusive event invited stars and members of the press to showcase some of the most luxurious brands internationally.

The headline brand sponsor for this year’s suite was Tokyo Clinic HAAB Medical group from Japan. HAAB Medical group is the absolute cutting edge in terms of revolutionary skin care treatments such as stem cell treatments and other non-invasive procedures. A beauty salon next to the lounge offered ultra-luxurious skin treatments to the guests. The Hinomoto Foundation, who was also present, showcased artisans from Japan known to preserve the beautiful culture and traditions of Japan. The foundation offered a unique experience by showcasing items such as swords, fashion, and sake from brands like such as Mizumoto Sake and Yamabuki Sake.

Stars attending the DPA event were able to pick up last-minute items for the Cannes red carpet with the Swiss Accessory brand, Demarquet, showcasing their handbags, with a special red-carpet collection this year. Kenyan accessory brand, The Label Saba was also present showcasing their vegan leather label, with its latest range of exquisite handbags. It is always great to know that you can do the right thing for the environment while keeping it classy at the same time. Also present was the luxurious Spanish brand Natura Bisse, which gifted some of its diamond extreme sophisticated skincare products to the guests.

Beauty and homeware always feature at a DPA event, and this year did not disappoint. The Lab Room, a famous brand known for its botanical cosmetics was present gifting the guests one of its signature products, the ‘Rossy De Palma’ Wonder oil for the face, hair, and body. We also had Marc Andre Barrois, Couture designer for Men based in Paris present. His creations for men are an answer to women’s Haute Couture. His latest offering was the ‘Tilia’ fragrance, sober yet intense, smell that unlocks a world of dreams. Lothantique Editeur de parfums, a fragrance brand based in the famous Grasse region was also present, showcasing their dazzling candles. This brand defends the philosophy where the past is traced back by modernity, and its candles are to die for. Also present was Mathilde et Zoë, another natural candle brand oozing sensual fragrance while keeping the natural touch.

For beauty, guests did not need to look any further. Energecia, brings quantum beauty into the lives of everyone who is introduced to it. Energies of appeasement and beauty, these beauty products diffuse on application and gently activate the various chakras. It is the latest in Quantum beauty. Custom perfume by Escentuelle, a brand by Carolyn Dunne was also present gifting guests with perfumes based on who they are, what they love and who they aspire to be. High end sun bronzing services were provided by Sunless Bronze Annie Rouet. And finally, Reusable skin care tool brand Les Tendances d'Emma was at hand, showcasing reusable facial cloths, allowing guests to switch from disposable to reusable while using highest quality products.

Moving onto fashion, we meet Antik Batik, a brand founded by Gabriella Cortese who was inspired to create by all her global voyages was showcasing some of her latest collections of shawls and tops. Handmade exquisite pieces coinciding with the seasons is just what someone who wants to shine at Cannes needs. Parisian brand, Krama Heritage has the unique goal of wanting to be worn around the world while contributing positively to the source of its inspiration, the nation of Cambodia. It’s creator Raphael has a vision of his brand wanting to serve humanity and Krama does just that. Guests were gifted a beautiful creation from this brand. First nations brand, indigenous to Canada, Tracey Metallic Designs was present with its 100% authentic and unique accessories that wowed every guest. Gorgeous handmade unique French jewelry were showcased by brands such as JC Donaldson, Nowatch and Joorn jewelry. And finally for the beach lovers out there, Beach Sandy showcased their beach kits and sand remover tools- will come in handy in all those stunning beaches across the French riviera.

Travel is always an element in a DPA Gifting lounge and this year DPA did not disappoint. Just some of the amazing trips for guests included a stay at The Relais and Chateaux’s Le Taha’a Pearl’s Resort, in French Polynesia, five minutes away from Bora Bora.

For the literary lovers, there were several authors and their books that were showcased. These included an eclectic array of literary works to inspire the reader. These were “Assis au bord du silence” by Christophe Paviot, “L’horizon à mains nues” also by Christophe Paviot and “Les yeux fermés” by Heloise Martin. Guests who attended on May 21st and 22nd were in for a treat as Christophe Paviot was in attendance to sign his books.

For treats and libations, there were some exquisite brands on offer. From the clean, pure waters of Estonia comes Nova Caviar.  Premium caviar lovingly produced by expert local farmers at sustainable aquaculture farms, Nova Caviar did not disappoint. Guests got to take home some luxurious Estonian caviar. Next there was Elsy, a unique French confectionery brand that has revolutionized the industry. It specializes in chocolate confectionery made with healthy ingredients, and a low glycemic index. 

No event in France can be complete with Champagne, and Champagne DN Domaine de Nuisement was there to represent the very best of French wines. Serving up “haute couture” Champagne from the Champagne region in France, guests savored every sip while they thoroughly enjoyed this great lounge, as well as taking home a beautiful bottle.

DPA, a leader in celebrity gifting was founded by Nathalie Dubois- Sissoko, whose vision was to show her genuine appreciation to well-deserved TV and Film artists who have inspired and uplifted audiences through their work by gifting them with some of America’s most exciting products.
