Santa Monica's AYSO Region 20 under 10 year old boys Fall Core Season champion Swamp Monsters were able to capture the Westside Region winners tournament January 13th and 14th. Competing against 7 other Fall Region Champs from Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Culver City, Los Feliz, West LA, South LA, and the Pacific Palisades, the Swamp Monsters advanced to the final of the tournament and won 4-1 vs a vaunted SLA squad.
They next play in the AYSO Sectionals Tournament in Chino, beginning February 24th with 7 other Southern California and Las Vegas Area champs. Go Swamp Monsters!
A special shout out to all the volunteers and referees from Region 20 whom went extra miles, particularly Referee Supervisor John "Gray" O'brien and Region 20 Commissioner Mauricio Castro and the Executive Board.
