Company says it will resume operations at the end of February
Veo scooter company has paused operations in Los Angeles as of January 27, 2024. Santa Monica is unaffected.
“Heads up: Veo will pause operations in the City of LA for a month starting on 1/27. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we will see you soon!” said the company in a text message sent to riders.
"Veo experienced some operational challenges that delayed our required response time with 311 inquiries as outlined in our contract with the City of Los Angeles,” explained Paige Miller, VEO manager, in an emailed response to us. "We are using this month to reset our operations to ensure 311 inquiries are addressed immediately moving forward. Veo will resume service in the City of Los Angeles on February 26th. Our operations in the City of Santa Monica will not be affected."
"Veo is on a mission to end car dependency by making clean transportation accessible to all. We have provided millions of shared bike and scooter rides in 50+ cities and universities across North America – and we're just getting started." says the company's website, Veoride.com
The original message from the company indicates that they will resume operations in one month.
