Update, 12.18: James Cooper, a 46-year-old man, was charged with DUI after crashing his car into President Joe Biden's motorcade in Wilmington, Delaware, as Biden was leaving dinner last night. Later, police determined it to have been an accidental collision, and Cooper was released from custody.
12.17: A car has crashed into President Joe Biden's parked motorcade in Wilmington, Delaware, leaving Biden "shocked." According to the Daily Mail, Biden's Secret Service agents pulled their guns on the driver who rammed into one of the SUVs.
The man who was driving the car complied with the Secret Service. President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are safe.
"Luckily it was a transport car," tweeted Joshua Walker. "Seems like an innocent accident, and I'm appreciative of that. Many people assume the worst, but I don't think anyone rational wishes actual harm to fall upon Joe."
