Gaza War Reporting by the New York Times "The Daily," Reveals a Bias in Favor of Hamas and Against Israel.

He said he needed further proof and corroboration that the tunnel was part of a military tunnel system used by Hamas. Yet he saw it with his own eyes

Today I listened to Patrick Kingsley's report on his visit to Gaza on the NY Times " The Daily". The reporting showed a clear double standard by Kingsley in favor of Hamas.

Why? Kingsley and the NYT accept facts and figures reported by Hamas as "true" while demanding a higher level of proof from Israel. This is now a systemic tool of NYT reporting.

When shown the entrance to a deep and well constructed tunnel entrance, right next to Shifa Hospital, Kingsley said that he couldn't verify that it was an offensive Hamas tunnel. He said he needed further proof and corroboration that the tunnel was part of a military tunnel system used by Hamas. Yet he saw it with his own eyes, as well as he saw all the other evidence produced by Israel showing Shifa was the locus of Hamas military activity, as well as his knowledge from his past reporting, plus years of acknowledging by Hamas, that they have military tunnels in Gaza. But that's not enough for Kingsley. He needs more proof from Israel.

However, when Kingsley states that Shifa hospital was filled, or had been filled, with thousands of civilians and thousands of patients did Kingsley ever corroborate this statement and these figures that he asserted as a true fact? No.

Kingsley and the NYT never verified the status and figures of patients at Shifa Hospital. Kingsley and the NYT automatically accept hearsay statements that this is true. This includes the never verified numbers of civilians and number of children purportedly killed. These "facts" and figures come from Hamas and are NOT corroborated. But you'd never know this from Kingsley as he asserts them as factually true.

Bottom line: while Kingsley and the NYT immediately believe the statements of Hamas, Kingsley and the NYT ask for extra proof from Israel. (As Kingsley and the NYT believed and reported IN October that the parking lot missile at the al-Ahli Hospital was fired by Israel and killed 500 -- both proven to be totally false and a fabrication by Hamas).

It is becoming harder and harder to believe Kingsley and the NYT in their reporting on the Gaza war.
