Pro-Hamas Demonstration Clogs Traffic Around The Grove On Black Friday

A group of pro-Hamas protestors shut down traffic near The Grove for about an hour on Third Street and Fairfax Friday. Traffic was rerouted They were chanting slogans such as “Biden Biden, you can’t hide, we charge you with genocide!” At 1 pm PST, the demonstration broke up. After half an hour in the grove, the demonstration moved to the intersection of Third Street and Fairfax.

The Los Angeles Police Department has declared a tactical alert citywide due to the protestors. "“Shutting down” Black Friday at The Grove will not “Free Palestine”, but it will piss off a lot of families who are just trying to do some Xmas shopping,” tweeted Justin Gordon.

Pro-Palestinian protestors vow to shut down commerce on the Nation’s busiest shopping town."Disrupt everything,” tweeted People’s City Council. "People around the country are shutting down main centers of commerce. There is no business as usual while Israel has killed 15k+ Palestinians in the last 7 weeks.”

In Gaza itself, a 4 day cease fire took hold, with the exchange of some hostages taken by Hamas, and Palestinian prisoners.

The Grove is a retail and entertainment complex in Los Angeles, located on parts of the historic Farmers Market. The mall features Nordstrom and Barnes & Noble.
