Who Stole the U.S. Flag From the US Post Office in Ocean Park, Santa Monica?

Someone stole the United States flag from the post office on Nielson Way in Ocean Park. The postmaster noticed it missing around October 31st, 2023, but believes the disappearance has nothing to do with Halloween.

The flagpole at a Santa Monica Post Office flies only the MIA/POW flag now, says the postmaster at the contract post office. He has ordered a new flag,. but they are apparently on back order with the Chinese company that makes America flags for US Post Offices. No, I’m not making this up.

Due to Proposition 47, the “Safe Neighborhoods Act” authored by LA County DA George Gascon, theft of property below $950 is no longer charged as a felony. Theft of property worth less than $950 is technically still a misdemeanor offense in California. But woke DA’s like George Gascon, don’t charge anyone with a misdemeanor. So neighborhoods in California are pretty unsafe in 2023.
