Suspicious Death of Homeless Man Found at 15th Street and Santa Monica Blvd.

Santa Monica Police have recovered the body of a deceased homeless man South of Santa Monica Blvd on 15th Street. Police and Fire fighters worked 15th Street between SM Blvd and Broadway. 15th Street was closed all day while they investigated. The homeless man was apparently known by local residents, the way some homeless people are, as “Kenny.”

Santa Monica Police say they will release more details next week. The death is being investigated as a homicide. "We always treat suspicious deaths as a homicide until we have evidence to the contrary,” wrote Lt. Erika Aklufi, SMPD PIO.
