The County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) in partnership with the City of Baldwin Park, invites the public to bring their furry friends to a special Vet @ The Park event on Sunday, October 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Morgan Park for free veterinarian services and more.

The event, also supported by the Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation and Wallis Annenberg PetSpace, will feature a pop-up veterinarian clinic offering a wide range of free services to Baldwin Park pet owners,- including exams, vaccines, microchipping, flea medication, deworming, and basic pet supplies. DACC encourages pet owners to take advantage of this opportunity to protect their four-legged friends while enjoying a day in the park.

"Our Vet@ThePark services bring critical medical care and resources to pet owners in their own communities," said Director Marcia Mayeda. "By meeting pet parents in their own neighborhoods, we reach people and pets who may not otherwise be able to obtain this care. DACC is committed to supporting healthy and thriving communities for pets and their families."

"The City of Baldwin Park is incredibly proud to bring our residents this Vet @ The Park event alongside a fantastic group of partners," said Baldwin Park Mayor Emmanuel J. Estrada. "We're excited to provide the community this unique opportunity to see kind and gifted veterinarian professionals at no cost to ensure their pets are healthy. We hope pet owners will connect with one another at this event as they give their pets potentially life-saving treatments."

The Vet @ The Park event will also feature demonstrations, meet and greet opportunities and lessons by Disc Dogs in Southern California at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Stop by to see their show-stopping performance, say hello or even teach your own pooch a trick or two!

To ensure the safety of all people and pets, the City of Baldwin Park asks that all dogs remain on leash and cats be in a carrier at all times during the event. The use of masks is strongly recommended. All veterinary services will be performed on a first-come, first-serve walk-in basis as time permits, so pet owners are encouraged to arrive at the earlier end of the event. Pet licensing will also be available for a cost. Cash and checks will be accepted as payment.

DACC is grateful to all its event partners, including the City of Baldwin Park, the Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation, and Wallis Annenberg PetSpace, for their help in making this unique opportunity available to the community.
