Salvation Army "Finding a Way Home Gala 2023 "A Night to Benefit Homelessness Relief"

Sarah Michelle Gellar was honored with The 2023 Judge Harry Pregerson Award, for her tremendous commitment for doing the most good in our community and around the world. She has an active involvement with numerous charities ranges from education on food security, to building houses.

This spectacular gala was hosted by Ben Mankiewicz, the primetime host of Turner Classic Movies. Prior to TCM, Ben worked as a reporter and anchor in Charleston, South Carolina, and Miami Florida, twice being titled Best Anchor in South Florida by The New Times. Since 2015 Ben Mankiewicz has hosted various nights of the International Documentary Association's Conversation Series.

There were many eminent celebrities and renowned sport figures, including retired NBA star, Olden Polynice, Annalynne McCord, Erica Ash, Tisha Ash and many more

There was a live auction, including a 7 night stay from gorgeous beach front resort destinations including Cancun, Nuevo Vallarta, Acapulco, and other luxury stays. LA Rams tickets and Field Passes, Wine County stays in Nappa Valley, Sonoma Valley, Paso Robles, LA Dodgers Dugout Seats for Dodgers Games , and a 7- night stay in a private luxury home in Cortona , Italy .

As Los Angeles continues to face the crucial and compelling problems of homelessness, with over 75, 000 people struggling to find food, shelter and stability, the Salvation Army continues to sparkle as a symbol of promise and hope.

The Salvation Army facilitates crucial changes and transformations through a multitude of programs for adults, at risk youth, veterans and seniors to break free from drug addiction, alcoholism, depression and poverty. The ultimate goal to and path to recovery is being independent and being able to earn a sustainable living.

The Salvation Army Gala 2023 raised over $750,000 that will reinforce its noble cause of ending homelessness. Sponsored by Payden and Rygel, this significant event was held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills on Thursday evening, September 21, 2023

This inspirational event was accentuated with heartrending videos and stories of esteemed guests 'personal experience with the Salvation Army's life changing impact

Captain Dan Garret, with a past of incarnation and violence, recounted his difficult task of redemption, and the challenges of escaping the street, for a new life, with the desire to give back to society.

This was an inspiring evening filled with fine wine, gourmet dinner, and good people who want to make this world a better place to live for everyone!
