Confrontation Between Ralph's Employee and Customer Leads to One Man Being Slashed

Thursday afternoon before 4 pm, an employee at Ralphs Grocery Company on Olympic Blvd was talking to a customer outside of the store. After conversation, a confrontation occurred. It's unclear who started the altercation.

But the employee ended up pinned against a car while being beaten by his attacker. The employee then slashed the attacker with a knife that was on his person.

It's unknown whether the employe needed any medical treatment at the time of the attack. Santa Monica Police took a report and a witness on scene stated that they saw everything occur and even took a photo of the suspect's vehicle who employees state is a usual at the store. It's unclear what led up to the attack
