Woman Assaulted Near Santa Monica High School This Morning, One Arrested and Transported to Hospital

2.3.23: Two people were reportedly assaulted at Pico Blvd and Lincoln Blvd Friday morning. The Santa Monica Police Dept. and Santa Monica Fire Dept. were on scene afterwards.

We asked Lt. Rudy Flores, SMPD PIO for more information. "At about 7:15 AM. SMPD Officers responded to the 800 block of Pico regarding an assault," he wrote. "Officers learned female suspect cut another female in the face area during the assault. The victim was transported to a local hospital with a superficial wound. The suspect has been arrested and was transported to the jail where she will be booked. Both suspect and victim are adults and have no involvement with the high school."

Police took one person into custody. "Person in custody will be transported to hospital via PD" One Person was transported with trauma to UCLA Hospital.
