Four Men Cut Another Man's Face During Assault on Santa Monica Beach, Near Seacastle Apartments

Update, 12/26/22: "On December 23, 2022 at about 5:30 PM, a male victim was walking in 1700 block of Ocean Front Walk when he was approached and assaulted by 4 males, for unknown reasons. The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his facial injuries. The suspects, described as Hispanic males, left southbound before the officer’s arrival."-- Lt. On Friday, December 23rd The Santa Monica Police and fire department responded to an assault located in the sand near the Sea Castle apartment complex.

The victim was reported to have been beaten by 3-4 suspects according to a man who was walking by when the attack was happening. It's unclear why the man was attacked.

Good samaritans called 911 and rendered aid to the victim while Santa Monica PD and fire were responding to the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

The Seacastle is a 140 unit luxury apartment complex including terraces facing the beach. A studio apartment starts at $3,000 a month.
