Riots Breakout in China as 420 Million People are Subject to Covid Lockdowns Under CCP's Zero Covid Policy.

11.23.22: Hundreds of workers protested at Foxconn's flagship iPhone plant in China Wednesday. Several videos posted to social media showed rioting workers and others, throwing barricades at authorities. The Covid authorities were wearing head to foot white plastic coveralls. They covered their heads as pipes and metal barriers were thrown at them.

Footage posted online shows people smashing surveillance cameras and windows and clashing with hazmat-clad police, over Covid restrictions and poor working conditions. Staff have reported bad food and other working conditions. Some workers have fled the Foxconn campus, in order to avoid being locked down.

The number of COVID-19 cases in China spiked to a record high on Thursday as officials ordered lockdown measures in major cities, including Zhengzhou, where protests were staged at an iPhone factory. This according to the UPI.

Officials in Zhengzhou said in a statement there were 813 new positive cases on Tuesday while describing the pandemic situation as "still severe and complicated."

Foxconn is the world's main factory producing iPhones for Apple Inc., as well as other electronics for Chinese and US companies.
