Community, Diversity, Sustainability and other Overused Words
Be the star of your own Hollywood Blockbuster and see if you can "escape".
Recently opened in Century City's Westfield Shopping Center, The Escape Game LA is a new way of experiencing storytelling, where you're actually a part of the story and living it in real time. Each escape room is designed to immerse you into an entirely new world that feels like you're starring in a Hollywood blockbuster.
The games are designed for small groups from 2 to 12 people who can work together in a room full of hidden clues, secret passages and code breaking to try and escape within 60 minutes. It's an addicting game, one that challenges you and your friends' ability to work together under pressure. The Escape Game LA is a cool and exciting activity for a big family gathering, birthday parties, an evening with friends, a corporate team building event or even a date!
You and your friends are locked in a room with no idea how you got there. You have 60 minutes to solve clues, find secret passageways, and use code breaking to escape. As the clock ticks down, it becomes clear that unless you work together as a team, you'll never make it out alive.
There are several different themed rooms available so you can choose whichever one fits your style best. Escape Room LA rooms include: The Heist, The Depths, Prison Break and Special Ops: Mysterious Market. You'll definitely want to play all four! Inside each room, you'll experience code breaking, physical challenges, puzzle solving and so much more!
There are multiple options to accommodate groups of all sizes. Each game can fit up to 8 guests (and can squeeze in a 9th) - Up to 40-45 guests can fit comfortably for a buyout.
Buyout costs are dependent on the day of the week and number of guests. There is a dedicated event planning team that can help set up buyouts; LA@theescapegame.com
Also, Team Rounds (up to 6 people), Private Rooms (up to 9 people), Corporate Team Building Events - Corporate Prize Packages For 10 People or More.
The games are recommended for ages 13 and up. Younger players are allowed, but some of the game content may be too difficult for them. We played with two eleven-year-olds who actually figured things out faster than the adults did, so you just never know. It might be a fun challenge for your puzzle-loving kids. General admission is $42.99 per player and it's paid online at the time of booking. Escape Room LA also has an online version if you prefer to stay at home. Check their website for details.
Race against the clock!
There are no special skills required to play The Escape Game LA. The clues are intuitive and self-explanatory, so there's no need to worry if you don't know anything about solving puzzles! Each game has a Host and a Guide who give you clues (if you want them) and they are live-streaming your every move, so don't worry if you get stuck.
If you love games that require teamwork and problem-solving skills then this is the perfect activity for you! This game will challenge your friends (or family) as they try their best to find their way out within the given time limit of 60 minutes.
Our group tried Prison Break (and yes there is a real prison toilet in the cell). Working together, we had to break out of prison. Fortunately, we made it out with three minutes to spare. It was so much fun and we can't wait to go again!
The Escape Room LA is an adventure that brings epic stories to life in a one-of-a-kind tactile experience. So grab some friends or just go on a date with them and see what happens when people get stuck in a room together for an hour. It's a whole different level of FUN with friends! You can be the hero and be home in time for dinner.
You can book an adventure of your own at Escape Room LA in Century City. It's located on the 2nd floor near Anthropologie.
