LA City Attorney Ignores Incidents of Violence Committed by Dodger Security Against Fans, Alleges their Lawyer

Five Fans Allege They Were Injured or Beaten By Dodger Security at LA's Dodger Stadium in 2022

Five new lawsuits have been filed against the Los Angeles Dodgers alleging that the club provided security security intentionally assaulted fans who attended Dodger games in 2022. They allege that the fix is in between the Dodgers organization and the Los Angeles City Attorney. The prosecutor looks the other way to known problems among security at Dodger Stadium.

"The LA City Attorney has turned a blind-eye to the continued illegal and perverse intimidating pattern of misconduct and disrespect for fans by Dodgers Security," says Peter diDonato, the attorney representing the five claimants.

"Five (5) more lawsuits have been filed against the Los Angeles Dodgers for acts of violence (assault, battery, false imprisonment, false arrest, violation of civil rights, and emotional distress) perpetrated by its Security personnel in 2021 and 2022. Security guards cannot be permitted to act with impunity, and the Los Angeles Dodgers organization must be held accountable for misconduct of their employees. Each Plaintiff seeks compensatory, emotional distress and punitive damages" writes diDonato.

A rundown of the five claimants, written by diDonato Law Firm:

On June 15, 2022, Jessica Vielmas and her 2 children and cousin attended the baseball game of the Dodgers v Guardians on a Friday night so they could attend the aftergame fireworks show, write diDonato. Jessica, her children and cousin walked to where they were directed by Security to the field level.

"Without warning or reason, a Security guard ran to Jessica and began striking her chest and shoulder with a flashlight. Jessica tried to back away, but the striking continued in the presence of her children and cousin. A uniformed LAPD appeared, and told Jessica to leave the Stadium or she would be arrested, and verbally intimidated her by yelling that she was a bad mother. The two Security guards yanked Jessica by her arms and carried her outside the gates. Jessica was never told the reason for the attack or for her ejection from the Stadium. A fun-filled night turned into a nightmare.

This senseless attack left Jessica with many bruises and further damage to her shoulder for which she was already receiving treatment. The Dodgers have not produced surveillance videos of this attack," diDonato writes.

On May 29, 2021, Gregory Page Dixon and a friend attended the baseball game of the Dodgers v Giants. Gregory was returning from the men's restroom when a Security guard approached and falsely accused him of public urination near a bus. Gregory told the guard that was not him, and walked off. Moments later he was tackled from behind, thrown to the ground and hand-cuffed. Gregory was citizen arrested for battery on a security guard, booked at LAPD. When he appeared in court, no charges were filed.

Gregory sustained bruises and marks to his head, arms and wrists, and was forced to retain an attorney to protect and defend his legal interests. The Dodgers have not produced surveillance videos of this attack.
