Male Escort Sentenced to 21 Months in Prison for Underreporting Income

He's just a gigolo, everywhere he goes, people know the part he's playing.

They pay for every dance, selling each romance.....A male escort who has clients across the United States was sentenced to 21 months in prison yesterday by a federal judge in Florida.

His crime was not prostitution related. It was for filing a false corporate tax return in 2018, said officials from the Justice Department's Tax Division.

Jami Kopacz, of Fort Lauderdale, was also ordered by District Court Judge Roy K. Altman to pay $278,325 in back taxes to the IRS on the unreported income from his escort business over four years.

According to court documents and statements, Kopacz worked as a "paid escort" and he received payments directly from his clients and from a private business for whom he worked as an independent contractor.

From 2015 to 2018, Kopacz used his corporation, JK Training LLC, to receive income and then filed false corporate tax returns that substantially underreported his company's gross receipts and total income, court officials said.

The false reporting on JK Training's corporate tax returns was passed through to his individual tax returns, which underreported his total personal income by $278,325.

Kopacz pleaded guilty to filing a false corporate tax return on Dec. 16, 2020. He is reportedly cooperating with the U.S. Attorney's Office in an ongoing investigation of South Florida's escort industry, according to his plea agreement.
