Shades of Arthur C. Clarke's 2001, a Space Odyssey, an alien device found in Utah National Monument
In case you thought 2020 couldn't get any stranger, Reuters is reporting that workers discovered a black metal monolith in the Utah Red Rock Desert National Monument. There is no indication of who put it there or when or why.
Did it come from space and land here, so that we can evolve a higher level of human? Will it suddenly cure Covid-19, or perhaps do the opposite? Your guess is as good as ours. I'm sorry Dave. I can't tell you that.
Utah’s highway patrol shared images of both the sheep and the monolith. A helicopter pilot first noticed the metallic monument, erected against the hills in the Utah Desert. The monolith is estimated to be about ten feet high, and embedded in the ground.
Helicopter pilot Bret Hutchings, told KSLTV news: “That’s been about the strangest thing that I’ve come across out there in all my years of flying.”
“One of the biologists is the one who spotted it and we just happened to fly directly over the top of it,” Hutchings said. “He was like, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa, turn around, turn around!’ And I was like, ‘What?’ And he’s like, ‘There’s this UFO back there – we’ve got to go look at it!’”
Hutchings was flying for the Utah department of public safety, which was helping wildlife resource officers count bighorn sheep in the south of the state.
