Enjoy al fresco dining and retail options along the Iconic Third Street Promenade and Downtown Santa Monica's public spaces
Downtown Santa Monica invites guests to find their space under the sun in the newly expanded al fresco dining patios along the world-class Third Street Promenade and surrounding streets.
To provide a safe and comfortable experience for the community restaurants, as well as fitness studios and retail stores, in the beachside downtown district are providing physically distanced outdoor operations on public sidewalks, Third Street Promenade and in parklets. For those who would rather eat at home, restaurants will continue to provide pick-up and delivery options.
On Third Street Promenade, guests can enjoy live outdoor music, delicious summer favorites, and bubbly bottomless weekend brunch at 1212 Santa Monica or say hello to the Casa Martin, the newest addition to the famed pedestrian street. At Heroic Deli, grab a classic Italian sub and a table in their patio dining oasis with expanded private-party areas separated by plexiglass barriers. Soak in stunning ocean views on Ocean Avenue and indulge in fresh seafood favorites from Watergrill and Blue Plate Oysterette.
Visitors can make a day of it with a stroll through Santa Monica Place and down the Santa Monica Pier, which is now open with limited hours, reduced capacity and monitored access.
Downtown Santa Monica remains committed to the health and wellness of the community and is taking extra precautions to ensure the community feels welcome and safe as they explore at their own pace. In addition to enhanced cleaning and sanitation efforts in all common areas, restrooms and inside businesses, DTSM Inc. has created a new pedestrian flow plan and queuing guidelines for Third Street Promenade to encourage safe physical distancing. When visiting the Promenade or Downtown Santa Monica, please remember to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
Restaurants and retailers have additional safety protocols in place. For available retail, curbside pickup and restaurant takeout information, visitors are encouraged to contact individual businesses in Santa Monica for their guidelines.
