Stan's is going VIRTUAL!
WHAT IS THE Stan's Donut Virtual Race? Due to Covid-19 Coronavirus and the current limitations set by the state of Illinois and city of Chicago, the 2020 Stan's Donut race has been modified to a virtual race.
For this year, the Stan's Donut Virtual Run will consist of a kids dash, 5k, 10k, half marathon, and marathon option. We'll ship (or you can pick-up) the shirt, medal, donut certificate, and any other goodies right to you.
Then you run (or walk) the distance you pick at any location you choose, and we highly recommend finishing at a Stan's Donuts location for your tasty free donut!

HOW IT WORKS
1. Register For the Virtual Donut Run (Kids Dash, 5K, 10K, Half, or Marathon)
2. You will receive your swag in the mail or you can pick it up at a Stan's Location (Choose during registration)
3. Run/Walk your race on any day in the month of August.
4. Upload your information and receive a Finisher's Certificate submitting your Name, Time, Distance, date of completion, and any photos HERE.

About this Event. Digital Dessert Goals is re-imagining our in-person festival from IRL to URL! Save the date for July 31 + August 1! This will be a 2-day event created for all ages to indulge in an interactive weekend of sweetness and joy. Sweet vibes only!
The event will include a mix of pre-recorded + live digital content from industry professionals including bake-along demos, food photography and how to start a dessert business. Free Comic Book Day 2020
Happening Now through September 9
Free Comic Book Day is happening NOW through September 9, so it will be a whole COMIC BOOK summer! Comic shops will receive five to six Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) titles in their weekly shipments during each week of the promotional window. Release of these titles may vary from shop to shop, as retailers are encouraged to release the books as they see fit for their unique circumstances. Retailers may release one free title a day, may make all of that week's free titles available at once, or any other plan that works for them. Free Comic Book summer is designed to be flexible and customizable so retailers and fans can get the most out the event.
"Every year, Free Comic Book Day is our big event to thank current comics fans, welcome back former fans and invite those new to comics to join the fun," said Joe Field, originator of FCBD, and owner of Flying Colors Comics in Concord, CA. "In this very different year, Free Comic Book Day is more like Free Comic Book Summer... and there's so much fun to discover in this year's FCBD comics! So many cool stories are available for this stretched-out Free Comic Book Day 2020. Free Comic Book summer will feature 45 of the previously announced titles from publishers like Marvel Comics, Image Comics, BOOM! Studios, Dark Horse Comics, IDW Publishing, Dynamite Entertainment, DC, and more! The 45 titles are designed to appeal to a broad range of tastes and run the gamut from superhero stories, to TV and movie tie-ins, to sci-fi adventures, all-ages tales, and beyond. There will also be two educational support titles from the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and Gemstone Publishing.

Grant Park Music Festival
Virtual 10 WEEK Classical Music Performances For 2020
For more than 80 years, the Grant Park Music Festival has been Chicago's summer musical sensation, demonstrating that classical music, performed by a world-class orchestra and chorus, can have a transformative impact on the city.
Led by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Carlos Kalmar and Chorus Director Christopher Bell, each summer the Festival offers a 10-week season of concerts, artistic development initiatives, radio broadcasts and community engagement and outreach programs.
Today, it operates as a unique collaboration among the Grant Park Orchestral Association, the Chicago Park District and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.
While we may not be able to physically gather, the power of music knows no bounds. Please join us for Festival Remixed, an exciting series of virtual events, including radio broadcasts, concerts, talks and master classes.

IN THE SPIRIT is an annual celebration of diverse Native arts and culture. It includes a juried art exhibition at the Washington State History Museum during July and August. Interested artists apply each year in the winter and spring, and submissions are juried by experts in contemporary Indigenous arts. The Washington State Historical Society presents awards to artists at the beginning of the exhibition, hosts gallery talks, and invites the public to vote for two coveted People's Choice awards which are announced at the Northwest Native Festival.
The Northwest Native Festival is a free all-day indoor/outdoor festival and arts market, showcasing emerging and known artists and designers along with food, artmaking, music, and other cultural experiences. The festival is hosted by the History Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, and the Museum of Glass. IN THE SPIRIT is a summertime favorite in the South Sound. This is the 15th year for IN THE SPIRIT. And, as you'll expect by now, this year will be different because we're living through the COVID-19 pandemic. We begin by honoring the artists whose work has been selected for the 2020 IN THE SPIRIT Contemporary Native Arts exhibition right here, virtually, online.

This week's Conversation is entitled "Community Outreach & Being Proactive Members of the Theatre Community" with with Jenae Thompson and Marissa Herrera. Jenae Thompson and Marissa Herrera will lead our next discussion, "Community Outreach & Being Proactive Members of the Theatre Community." It will be an honest and open discussion of how theatres can begin implementing healing and measurable change that they can be held accountable for.

APPOINTMENTS ARE LIMITED. To ensure the safety of all our donors and staff, walk-in donations will not be accepted. - Registering in advance allows The American Red Cross to coordinate appropriate staffing and supplies. It will also allow the Hollywood Pantages Theatre and Broadway in Hollywood to comply with social distancing guidelines
The Hollywood Pantages theatre is located at the famed intersection of Hollywood & Vine at 6233 Hollywood Boulevard. Parking is available at two self-park garages within walking distance of the theatre:

• L.A. City Garage (1627 Vine Street - 1/2 block South on Vine)
