Nick Cordero Loses Battle to Novel Coronavirus, says his devastated wife, Amanda

Known for his tough-guy roles and endless talent, Cordero died at 41 on Sunday at Cedars Sinai Hospital

Nick Cordero's wife, Amanda Kloots, confirmed that her husband had tragically died of Covid 19 on Sunday, July 5, 2020.

The 41 year old actor bravely battled Covid for 95 days at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. He was diagnosed with COVID-19 in April and suffered a series of related complications, including having to have one of his legs amputated.

His wife said she and their son Elvis "will miss him in everything we do, everyday."

The Broadway actor performed in award winning shows such as ‘A Bronx Tale,’ ‘Bullets Over Broadway’ and ‘Waitress’ was beloved by all that knew him and his passing has shocked both the entertainment industry and his loved ones.

The Tony-nominated actor suffered severe complications after contracting the coronavirus.

He leaves behind a wife and his infant son, Elvis. His wife, actress Amanda Kloots, posted:

"God has another angel in heaven now. My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth. I am in disbelief and hurting everywhere. My heart is broken as I cannot imagine our lives without him. Nick was such a bright light. He was everyone's friend, loved to listen, help and especially talk. He was an incredible actor and musician. He loved his family and loved being a father and husband. Elvis and I will miss him in everything we do, everyday," posted Kloots.

A respected talent, Nick was loved by his fellow thespians, family and friends.

Tony award winning Producer Scott Mauro said of Cordero's loss, "Yet another terrible tragedy. Broadway has lost one of our brightest and dearest lights. Our hearts go out to his wife and son. Covid is a terrible disease that clearly shows no prejudice, a sad sad loss. Broadway is a little dimmer without his bright talent."

A Go Fund Me page for the Cordero family had recently raised $700,000, well beyond its goal of $400,000. https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-amanda-kloots-nick-cordero-amp-elvis
