MEMORIAL PEP RALLY FOR BELOVED SAMOHI TEACHER AND COACH, PATRICK CADY (August 25, 2019)
EVERYONE IS INVITED TO COME TOGETHER TO HONOR AND CELEBRATE BELOVED SAMOHI TEACHER AND COACH, PATRICK CADY on Sunday, August 25th at 10 a.m. in the Greek Theater on Samohi's campus (601 Pico Blvd.). Music performances, recognition by the City Council, eulogies by his loved ones, and more.
Long-time Malibu resident Patrick Cady (1946-2019) taught and coached in the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District for 45 years. He had also been a coach with the world-famous Santa Monica Track Club, and he ran for the School Board in 2010. In his free time he was a Washington Nationals baseball fan and loved playing his ukulele, including performing original works at the Topanga Banjo Fiddle Contest. He leaves behind a loving wife, twin brother, daughter, and three grandchildren.
Mr. Cady dedicated his life to the betterment of Santa Monica and Malibu's youth. Join his family, friends, students, and co-faculty in celebrating a life well spent in service to his community.

Coach Cady passed away on June 8th, from pancreatic cancer.
