Neighbors report that the Los Angeles police department is conducting a major operation Tuesday night at the Westside Pavilion. Just before 10 PM, numerous police vehicles were seen in front of the West Los Angeles mall. Coincidently it was just announced this week that the 30-year-old shopping mall would be converted into offices.
The Westside Pavilion is a shopping mall located in West Los Angeles. It is owned and operated by The Macerich Company. It is a three-story urban-style shopping mall with 70 shops and is anchored by a Macy's (formerly May Company and later Robinsons-May) (which is to close in April of 2017). A 12-screen movie theater owned by the Landmark Theatres company opened at the mall in 2007, which serves as the flagship location for the company.
