SMFD Extinguishes Fire in the 1000 Block of 14th Street

SMFD has cleared a Structure Fire incident #18000255 in the 1000 Block of 14th, tweeted the Santa Monica Fire Department just after 11 pm Friday Night. The fire caused first responders to divert traffic from the area for about an hour.

There were no reports of injuries.

The Santa Monica Fire Department (SMFD) is the primary fire and medical response agency for the city of Santa Monica, California. It is responsible for protecting approximately 92,000 residents spread out across 8.3 square miles. In 1974, the SMFD became the first fire department in the United States to provide paramedic services via fire engines.
