Dropping Eggs and Grabbing attention like no pitchwoman since the Progressive Insurance lady
She is all over Youtube right now, this officious but mischievious looking gal in a Goldilocks outfit, cheerfully smashing eggs onto mattresses. Her name is Mallory Everton, and she is a career actress and writer, best known for Studio C (2012), The Best of Studio C (2013) and Studio C: Best of Season 2 (2013). And she is grabbing attention like no other pitchwoman has since the Progressive Insurance lady, portrayed by Stephanie Courtney.
The Youtube commercials for https://onpurple.com/ are pretty funny and pretty ubiquitous. They show her dropping plate glass with 4 eggs underneath, onto (what else?) a purple mattress. Mallory says: What's a simple way to tell that your bed is too hard? The Raw Egg Test. Let me prove it. When it comes to mattresses, you used to have only 3 choices. Looking for shoulder pain? Try the hard mattress....
Then there's the soft mattress. It starts out ok, but then collapses over time like some cheap sneakers or Anakin Skywalker"
She grew up in Portland, Oregon. Initially Mallory wanted to go to BYU for medical school, but went into the film program there instead.
Her IMDB bio reports that she loves distance running and music.
Her Facebook page says that she is a Writer/Actress for Studio C, a sketch comedy show on BYUtv. There have been seven Captain Literally segments, including two sketches with other minor characters including Captain Irony played by Mallory Everton. She has also played "The Worst Kindergarten Teacher Ever," and Igor to 'The Mad Scientist." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studio_C
She describes herself as having "Crazy hair, crazy mind."
Since Studio C is a child of Youtube, it is fitting that Onpurple recruited a youtube star to be their corporate spokes Goldilocks. And Goldilocks, natch, is an expert on beds that are alternatively too soft, too hard, etc.
Studio C is a sketch comedy television show produced in Utah by BYUtv. The show traces its roots to the BYU sketch comedy troupe Divine Comedy, which all of the Studio C cast members are current or former members of. The show aims to produce clean, family-oriented comedy for a national audience, shedding the BYU-oriented humor of Divine Comedy. The show was originally planned to be named Common Room until being changed to its current name, a reference to the studio in the BYU Broadcasting Building where the show is primarily filmed in front of a live audience. They have also created, "Leave No Fan Behind" and "Christmas Special Live Event", which are both live YouTube events. This lets fans watch the cast play games and act out skits, as well as ask questions on Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, for them to answer during the events.
Studio C currently has a YouTube channel with over 1.5 million subscribers and more than a billion total views. Their channel features many skits from the show, along with a few YouTube exclusives. Studio C's most popular video is "Top Soccer Shootout Ever With Scott Sterling", which currently has over 54.5 million views on YouTube. Studio C posts new videos on YouTube every Tuesday and Friday.
