Yvette Mills, 48, suffered no obvious trauma
10/12: The body of a woman washed ashore on Venice Beach Thursday morning. She was identified Friday as Yvette Mills, 48.
Police said the body, which was still clothed, did not exhibit any obvious signs of violence or trauma and had not been attacked by marine life.
A jogger spotted her body and alerted authorities around 6:30 a.m. The discovery was on the beach near Market Street.
Coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter said an autopsy was pending to determine her cause of death.
