The Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival Weekend delivers once again

Angelenos arrive in record- breaking numbers to indulge at the Prestigious Annual Food and Wine event

Sunday 28th August 2017, Barker Hangar, Santa Monica AirportOver the past 4 days, the Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival has taken flight with overwhelming success taking place over 2 different locations, Downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica.

Spanning over 4 days, Angelinos were treat to a scrumptious food and wine fiesta this year. This remarkable event offers the opportunity for guests to go on a food strolling adventure and have access to book signing and photo sessions with some of the world's best chefs.

The Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Airport housed the finale of this years LA Food and Wine Festival this Sunday, the 28th of August. Every year, during this time, this space is transformed into a decadent food and wine experience. Often touted as one of the best foodie cities in the US, perhaps eve the world, this year's festival showcased an international showcase of incredible bites and pours.

Sponsoring the event again this year, Lexus dazzled the guests with their latest car models offering photo opps. The Lexus LA Food and wine festival has become synonymous with quality, innovation and decadence and this year, it did not disappoint one bit.

The grand tasting event this Sunday featured over 200 wines from some of the world's most prestigious wineries. 25 celebrity chefs showcase their culinary skills to provide decadent samplings of their menu items.

Some of the known chefs present were Barb Batiste of B Sweet, Alvin Cailan of Eggslut, Tyler Malek of Salt and Straw, Nancy Silverton of Nancy's Fancy, Michael Passmore of Passmore Ranch, Kaleo Adams of the Polo Lounge, Alex Reznik of Ditmas Kitchen, Vincent Lasage of Bacara Resort, Dakota Weiss of Sweetfin Poke, Michael Ginor of Hudson Valley Foie Gras.

Some of the wines brands present this year were several Australian wines like Adelaide Vineyards, Jacobs's Creek, and De Bortoli Wines. Other brands present were San Antonio Wines, Donelan family WInes, Le Grand Courtage, Mt Beautiful, somerston wine co, Bird in Hand, Long Meadow Ranch Winery, Quixote, Epiphany, JACK Winery and Chateau D'esclans.

There were an array od delectable dishes offered up as samples ranging from Gourmet Tri- tip sliders, Nitro Coffee Brew, Vegan Lasagna, Fusion Banh Mi, Smoked Tuna Poke, Modern Steak Tartar, Vegan pizza, Decadent Lobster rolls with ghost pepper hot sauce, chocolate fondant gelato and breadpudding with Ube.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Michael Passmore of Passmore Ranch, a Fish to Fork and premium Caviar producer and he was amazed at the amazing energy over the weekend and the quality of food and wine offerings. Passmore Ranch restaurant is located in Sacramento and a part of the burgeoning food culture in that area.

Novelty photo booths are, as always a huge hit with events in la as it provides the opportunity for attendees to capture those priceless moments. The Aruba Tourism board had a fun photo booth, as did the Hendricks gin booth that had circus performers who put on a show during the event.

Along with Lexus, The Venetian Hotel and Resort in Las Vegas was one of the premiere sponsors this year. They were showcasing their resorts and the fine dining restaurants. Class act music and entertainment were also on offer with superstar Wyclef Jean, the main headline act for Saturday night. A huge turnout with guests enjoying great food, music and giveaways courtesy of the sponsors.

There was an air of camaraderie at the events with the chefs mingling with the crowd and trying out the cuisine from the other chefs as well

To conclude this years' Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival was a massive success with an overwhelming turnout who enjoyed the food, wine and the great Angelino sprit to the highest standards. Do not miss this incredible event next year!
