3 shooters sought by police now sweeping East Baltimore
Police are sweeping an East Baltimore neighborhood for three shooters thought to be in possession of a shotgun and handguns.
At least eight people have been shot, including a father and his three-year-old daughter.
Three suspects fled the scene, Chief of Media Relations at Baltimore Police, T.J. Smith, tweeted. Eight people were wounded, he said, but the injuries were "all non-life threatening."
The shooting happened around 9 p.m. Saturday night (EST) at Greenmount Avenue and East Preston Street, near Greenmount Cemetary.
The injured have been shot and taken to local hospitals.
No suspects have been identified at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.
East Baltimore is a historically neglected area that has seen some resurgence in development int recent years.
