Ghostbusters had to put up with nude photos of her with Rhianna, Harambe
It is the age of the Cyber bully, and some would say black women are the most easy targets.
Leslie Jones.com, the actresses own website, was hacked yesterday by unknown cyber trolls, who replaced her photos with photos apparently showing the Ghostbusters actress nude. Also non-permissively inserted into her site, were photos showing her with Harambe, the African gorilla killed last June after a boy fell into his enclosure.
This hasn't been a good year for Jones. Ghostbusters was kind of a flop with fans, i.e. at the box office. She was not continued on Saturday Night Live, and she didn't even get to live tween the Olympics (her twitter account was hacked and she had to close it). And now, this.
The hackers inserted a picture of the gorilla Harambe on the site, and exposed what appeared to be explicit photos of the actress, along with pictures of her driver’s license and a passport, and images of her with stars like Rihanna, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West, said the New York Times, quoting TMZ.COM. The Drivers license reflected her real address as appearing in public records.
Ms. Jones, 48, had spent much of the past month battling online trolls who sent her a stream of racist imagery, pornography and abusive language. She briefly left Twitter, but later returned to tweet about the Rio Olympics.
