Felt as a sharp shock at 6:46 PM in Santa Monica, Westside
A moderate earthquake rocked Southern California this afternoon. It was felt as a sharp jolt at 6:45 pm PST. USGS reports 2.9 magnitude earthquake, just 4 kilometers SW of Santa Monica.
The earthquake was felt across the westside, as far east as the 405. Authorities, however, reported no damage or injuries.
