A Magnitude 2.6 earthquake was felt by residents in the South Bay Sunday evening, around 10:44 PM. The US Geological survey said the epicenter was in the sea, about 3 miles west of Huntington Beach and 4 miles from Seal Beach. The small tremor caused no apparent damage or injuries.
Separately, A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck off Mecico's Baja California, the United States Geological Survey reported.
The earthquake was measured by USGS in the Gulf of California, 69 miles South-southeast of the Mexican city of San Felipe, which is located on the Baja California peninsula.
