Community, Diversity, Sustainability and other Overused Words
For one of the most awaited award seasons of the year, Madison & Mulholland was once again the sponsor for the 2016 Award season gift bag. This year they teamed up with premiere Media company Revele Inc spearheaded by top Publicists Marilynne Mungovan and Chaz Brewer to treat the stars to an array of exciting and cutting edge brands and products.
Madison & Mulholland, a leader in celebrity gifting was founded by Jane Ubell-Meyer in 2002 whose vision was to show her genuine appreciation to well deserved TV and Film artists who have inspired and uplifted audiences through thier work by gifting them with some of America's most exciting products.
Jane Ubell-Meyer stresses that she wanted to act as a platform for entrepreneurs and small businesses in the country who are looking for a great opportunity to get their products in the hands of image makers and social influencers within the entertainment industry. This is what makes Madison & Mulholland stand out amongst the very many gifting suites that happen during award season in Los Angeles which seem to be focused only leveraging the PR potential of the celebrities.
So what did the nominees get to enjoy this year? Well, travel was defiantly a theme this year with several incredible travel brands offering their products and services. Some of these include, an 18" travel roller bag from TravelOn, a $5000 gift certificate offering discounts on hotels from The Hotel Card, a Perpetual Shade in-flight sleep mask, Gigs Audio Bluetooth headphones and finally topping off the list, luxurious hotel vacations in Antigua courtesy of their top resorts including the 5 star Curtain Bluff, the hip and trendy, Sugar Ridge Resort and exquisite Galley Bay Resort and Spa.
Accessories were the name of the game this year, with nominees being treated to handbags from brands like Vegan brand Deux Lux, functional design brand Buco, luxurious Laudi Vidnis from USA and the tribal hand-woven handbags Luxchilas from Colombia.
RetroSpecs and Co offered stars with a Christian Dior 70's vintage pair of sunglasses and Madison & Mulholland was able to showcase their signature piece of jewelry the "Regal" a retro- inspired necklace.
Awards gift bag is never complete without a selection of the newest in beauty care. This year celebrity dermatologist, Dr. Debra Jaliman NYC showcased her latest Sea Radiance skincare collection, and Japanese skincare company Mirai Clinical offered their innovating "purifying and deodorizing body care collection". Cosmetic brand Le Métier De Beaute offered beautiful make up products and CharlieCurls introduced their no-heat curling hair product.
There were also some great accessories for the home; with ParkerWool and its luxurious sheepskin pillows, a decorative cushion from the iconic Italian linen brand Pratesi and even a designer raft from the original Designer Noodle!
For some personal time, there were deluxe knitting kits featuring Lion Brand Yarn Company who gave knitting lessons and yarn, and YarnPop provided an innovative knitting bag plus James Cox Knit kits for men.
Finally for some tempting treats, there were delicious chocolates from Chocolations, and a margarita cocktail mixer from Powell and Mahoney along with Avion Tequila.
But keeping with the founder's Jane Ubell-Meyer's vision, it was not all glamour as the 2016 gift bag, valued at 22k was also auctioned off on eBay to raise money for a very important cause, the Noreen Fraser Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises funds and directs its focus to funding research for the treatment for cancer for woman.
