Santa ushered in the holiday season on Thursday, November 20 at Santa Monica Place's Tree Lighting Ceremony. Partnered with Downtown Santa Monica, Inc., Santa Monica Place created a magical evening with holiday festivities starting with a parade down Third Street Promenade at Wilshire Blvd. Santa was accompanied by dancing elves, the Santa Monica High School Band and the community ending at Santa Monica Place to officially light the tree. Musical entertainment for the evening featured emcee Leo Quinones, hip-hop violinist Josh Vietti and the Magnolia Memoir band.

LA Clippers' players (including Matt Barnes and Jordan Farmer, pictured), Clippers coaches and staff-with an assist from Ralphs/Food 4 Less staff and St. Joseph Center staff and volunteers-turned out to distribute hundreds of frozen turkeys with all the fixings as well as clothing and books to help make sure that St. Joseph Center clients have a happy Thanksgiving.
