Presented by Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts
Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts presents Israel's Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (Rami Be'er, Artistic Director) for three performances only, November 19 through 21, 2014 in the Bram Goldsmith Theater.
Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (KCDC) is widely identified with the work of Artistic Director Rami Be'er, whose singular choreographic character has become the company's trademark, both in Israel and abroad. With its technically strong and physically eclectic cast of dancers, and its dynamic sensibility, KCDC epitomizes Israeli dance at its best. The company performs regularly in esteemed theaters and at leading festivals around the world.
KCDC will be performing its famed piece, If At All, a moving theatrical event brought to life in figurative and abstract circles. "The piece deals with the issue of our existence," explains choreographer and Artistic Director Be'er. "We start as individuals, and then enter into society as couples, and then groups, all of us connected to life in the here and now."
