Dodgers Hire Friedman, Demote Colletti

Colletti, after nine years as general manager, was relegated to the role of an advisor,

The 37-year-old Friedman comes from the Tampa Bay Rays who have a low budget but have had six winning seasons and four playoff appearances since he took over in 2008.

According to sources, Friedman will hire a general manager for the Dodgers.
