Los Angeles magazine will present its much anticipated annual culinary extravaganza The Food Event for the ninth year on Sunday, October 19 from 2 – 5 pm in the vineyards of Saddlerock Ranch, home of Saddlerock and Semler wines.
The afternoon fete features great chefs, culinary experts, sommeliers, unlimited tastings of food from 40 of LA's best restaurants as well as wines and spirits.
Participating restaurants and chefs include many familiar local restaurants: Michael's Santa Monica, Joe's of Bar Pinxto Restaurant, Loteria Grill, Farmshop, and Tar & Roses.
They will be joined by a bevy of LA based restaurants: Saddlepeak Lodge, 9021Pho, Angelini Osteria, Animal, Barbrix, Bestia, Black Market Liquor Bar, Bourbon Steak Los Angeles, Bucato, Cliff's Edge, Cooks County, Crossroads, Cut, Día de Campo, Donut Friend, Drago Centro, Estérel, Faith and Flower, Four Seasons Westlake Village, Girasol, Goldie's, Jitlada Thai Cuisine, Lemonade, Little Sister, Manhattan Beach Post/Fishing with Dynamite, McConnell's Fine Ice Cream, Petty Cash, Playa Provisions, Salt's Cure, Short Cake, Sotto, Spago, The Front Yard, The Strand House, The Sunset Restaurant, Union, and Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air.
Drinks include Archium, Black Ink, Bodega Norton, Bottlerock Wine Company, Caricature, Chesebro, Cielo Woodstock Collection, Compliment Wine, Cordon, Deep Eddy Vodka, Don Julio, Drama Wines, Graef, Jules Harrison, Karma Tequila, Lange Twins, Malibu Vineyards, Nobilissima, Panaro Brothers Winery, Saddlerock, Semler, The Seducer, Stella Artois, Vina Sympatica, Vinemark Cellars.
Also featured are cooking demos by noted chefs Claire Thomas and Brooke Williamson of Playa Provisions, The Triple, and Hudson House, CJ Jacobson of Girasol, Elia Aboumard and Uyen Nguyen of Gorge, and Tal Ronnen of Crossroads.
The main event is followed by an after party with more food sampling and live music, but the question is: Will anyone have room for that after the main event? But it wd be a good time to socialise and compare notes about the main event.
Ticket price includes all demonstrations, food, beverages, and parking fees, as well as a subscription to Los Angeles magazine. A part of proceeds benefits the event's philanthropic partner Kids Courage.
