Santa Monica Art Studios Announces 10th Anniversary Celebrations

Santa Monica Art Studios announces its 10th Anniversary Open Studios event on Saturday, October 18th from 6 to 9 pm and Sunday, October 19th from 1 to 5 pm. Thirty-nine painters, printmakers, photographers, sculptors and mixed media artists will open their studios for the event.

Santa Monica Art Studios Artists are: Melinda Smith Altshuler, Fariba Ameri, Hugo Anderson, Krista Augius, Janine Brown, Lulu Camp, Gregg Chadwick, Lola del Fresno, Wendy Edlen, Susan Feldman, Karen Florek, Mitchell Friedman, Judith Golden, Yossi Govrin, Rachel Grynberg, Deborah Lynn Irmas, Sally Lamb, David Leeds, Kathy Leeds, Maddy Le Mel, Luigia Martelloni, Christine McLaughlin, Jackie Nach, Malka Nadivi, Sabine Pearlman, Claudia Concha Perea, Olaf Pooley, Paula Rosen, Linda Sher Salzman, Gwen Samuels, Rachel Shultz, Diane Silver, Pamela Simon-Jensen, Doni Silver Simons, Laura Stone, Julie Weiss, Karen V. Woo and Joan Wulf.

To celebrate the vibrant community of artists that Los Angeles has produced over these years, Arena 1 will open "THE LA WOOD SHOW" curated by LA artist China Adams. Works in the exhibition include sculpture, installation, painting, photography, and collage and collectively present a vision of wood as a uniquely democratic medium.
