Lincoln, Colorado to be Rerouted

The famous Santa Monica Pier announced that Tommy Bahama, the popular beach lifestyle brand, will return for the second year as the presenting sponsor for the 5th annual Santa Monica Pier Paddleboard Race and Ocean Festival taking place on June 7, 2014.

Gasoline prices jump in California

Problems at some of the state's fuel refineries have sent gasoline prices soaring in California just in time for the kickoff of the busy driving season.

A gallon of regular gasoline hit a statewide average of $4.196 on Thursday, up about 13 cents in a week, according to AAA. That's the highest price since March 2013.

Prices usually start rising as California refineries switch from winter-blend gasoline to a pricier blend of summer fuel, which takes longer to make and requires more expensive additives to meet environmental standards. This year, problems at a few refineries in the Golden State undergoing routine spring maintenance have squeezed inventory and further boosted prices
