Tell us about your brand, Margaret Rowe Couture Jewelry?
My jewelry evokes a vintage fashion statement with a modern silhouette bringing out an electric, star-power look. The line captures the seduction of film noir and the glamour of Hollywood's Golden Age. My collections are an intersection of art and fashion.
Who is the woman that wears Margaret Rowe?
Stylish contemporaries Jennifer Lopez and Heidi Klum own my pieces and capture the celebrity essence of the woman who wears Margaret Rowe. My muse is multi-faceted, fashion conscious and enjoys adorning herself with jeweled artpieces that create a statement or a 'conversation piece'. She is conscious of the adrenaline rush great art provides. My collectors understand the power of style, the ultimate expression of creativity, which made Diana Vreeland and Jackie Onassis famous.
What is your passion behind Margaret Rowe Couture Jewelry?
I am captivated by the glamour and artistry of Hollywood's Golden Age and the allure of contemporary Hollywood's red carpet pageantry. My passion is creating couture jewelry that merges fashion, beauty and timeless elegance. I believe every woman is a star -- we should all be vibrant, vivacious and victorious! I create designs that contribute to the sparkle of life and to the romance that illuminates the star in each one of us. I love seeing women wear my designs and look beautiful.
How is your jewelry made?
My collections are cultured using the same quality-honored tradition of early 20th Century theatrical, form-fitting bijoux -- meticulous hand-set, stone-by-stone designs that are choreographed with exacting excellence. This perfecting process means every signed Margaret Rowe artpiece is a divine adornment effortlessly following natural contours of the wrist, decolletage and facial silhouette.
How did you become involved in the jewelry industry?
I became involved in this industry through a love of all things vintage and have always been enthralled with the provenance and design excellence of vintage jewelry. My first collection was created from original estate and vintage elements dating back to the 1920s.
Why did you bring HSN (Home Shopping Network) this product?
As I execute my designs with the belief that 'Every Woman Is A Star', deserving of the adornments that glamorize life HSN allows for the product to be more affordable, thus for every woman. HSN is a great venue because I can speak directly to my customers and demonstrate how the product is worn and explain the inspiration behind each piece of jewelry and the intricacies behind each design. As a native of Omaha, Nebraska, I love talking with the midwestern clientele. My next HSN show is February 10th at 1am PST ~ just in time for Valentine's Day gift giving!
How do you give back to the community?
The beauty in life (and in my business) is giving back wherever and whenever you are able. I strive daily to do what I can to be a better citizen in my community, guardian for our globe and ambassador for my industry. I'm constantly inspired by others who astound with their efforts to make our world a better place and join these amazing people and organizations to help their causes with my jewelry when I can. Organizations I've been blessed to work with include the American Red Cross, American Heart Association. American Cancer Society and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Locally, we've contributed to Surfrider Foundation, Heal the Bay, Race to Erase MS, Project Angel Food, HollyRod Foundation, Haiti Relief Fund and the Museum of Contemporary Art. We all need to use our assets, whatever they may be, as currency to enrich those less fortunate around us.
What do you consider your 'industry achievements'?
Margaret Rowe Couture Jewelry has been featured in National Jeweler, Women's Wear Daily, InStyle, Inside Weddings, Brides, New York Times, Vanity Fair, NBC News and E! Entertainment. The Collections have been seen on A-list celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Heidi Klum, Christina Applegate, Jane Lynch, Kimora. My jewelry has been seen on every major red carpet included the Oscars, Grammy Awards, Emmy Awards, and the SAG Awards. Broadcasting for my blog, 'The Couture Jewelry Journal' at the pre-show for the Academy Awards and several red carpet interviews from international media have been highlights. I enjoyed guest starring on the reality show, Japanese Housewives of Beverly Hills, and have accessorized Japan's Grammy Awards red carpet reporter in my collections for the past five years. I was a Rising Star Award Finalist for Fashion Group International (FGI) ~ a fashion industry association with influential fashion industry icons Donna Karan and Diane Von Furstenberg.
