    Yuri Vanetik, Thomas Tucker|Sep 23, 2016

Donald Trump's effort to woo black voters has gotten off to a rocky start. The GOP nominee's main argument -- that black communities have been poorly served by Democratic leaders -- is certainly powerful. But, as recent polls have shown, this strategy has yet to move the needle with African Americans. It impacts them, their families and friends, and others. Something does need to be done about it. Lt. Saul Rodriquez, Public Information Officer from the Santa Monica Police Department,...

  • Trump Tax Plan Attacks Single Parents

    Liz Miller|Sep 23, 2016

If you are a single parent in America, don't vote for Donald Trump unless you want to pay more taxes. The latest incarnation of the Donald's tax plan could as much as double the tax bill for unmarried parents. At the same time, it would greatly reduce payments made by the wealthiest citizens. The single parent penalties would come about with three of the major revisions that Trump proposes for the tax code. First of all, he wants to get rid of the Head of Household status for filers, forcing...
