Thursday morning at 6 a.m., the power failed again. Power crews were told to focus on Terminals 8 and 9. Several terminals saw their emergency backup systems triggered, which created a dim light for some passengers. Planes began to take off again at 11 pm on Wednesday night. • "Happiness: Capitalism vs. Marxism" Less Than the Debate of the Century Between Jordan Peterson and Slavoj Zizek

    Preity Upala, Observer Staff Writer|Jun 7, 2019

Touted as the "Debate of the century", the bout between Jordan Petersen and Slavoj Zizek was less than eventful. Termed "Happiness: Capitalism vs. Marxism", young minds gathered in Toronto to determine who could win over the audience with their wit and might. Regretfully, neither seemed to hit the mark. The fault lies in the topic itself. In essence, none of the speakers actually addressed the topic "Happiness". Neither Capitalism nor Marxism leads to happiness. Any spiritualist or philosopher...

  • Murderer in a glass case: Controversy in Thailand Over Museum Displaying Corpse of Executed Man

    Christoph Sator, DPA|Jun 7, 2019

Bangkok (dpa) - Every child in Thailand knows the name Si Quey. A bad man from China, allegedly a serial killer, even a cannibal. "Do not go outside when it is dark. Otherwise, Si Quey will get you," parents here have warned their children for generations. That is, with all due respect, complete nonsense of course. The man has been dead for nearly 60 years, executed on September 17, 1959, by a firing squad. His body, embalmed with paraffin, is kept in a tightly sealed glass box in Bangkok's...
