The Santa Monica Firefighters Association has established a Fund to assist the Looney Family that was involved in Friday’s tragic crash in Santa Monica’s McClure Tunnel. The firefighters opened the fund with a $1,000.00 donation. The accident occurred when the family was on their way to the beach from their home in Las Vegas. On Friday, May 30, 2014 the Los Angeles Police Department reported the arrest of Donald Condon, age 55, of Culver City for misdemeanor child annoyance. It is alleged that he took inappropriate photographs of minors in public while chaperoning them on a Santa Monica Police Activities League (PAL) outing to a Dodger’s game. Mr. Condon is a part-time employee of the City of Santa Monica. On November 3, 2013, David Guyer entered the W.I. Simonson Mercedes dealership in Santa Monica and requested to test drive a car. Guyer provided the salesperson an Arizona driver's license, which was then photocopied and retained for the dealership's records. During the test drive, Guyer stopped the vehicle, told the salesperson he had a gun, and ordered the salesperson out of the vehicle. He then fled the scene.
